ezroller
Anyone know how to make that "removable drives" icon stop appearing on my desktop every time i log in? I delete the damn thing, and there it is every time i log back in.
Guest anon
Not sure, but it might be in / home/kde/autostart/directory if you can make any sense of it, mine seems to be written in spanish or italian ?
mystified
Actually the autostart directory is in Italian, Spanish, French and about a zillion other languages and all it says is "autostart" :? You might try to edit your home/Desktop/.directory and remove the Removeable Media text and see if that makes a difference. Remember that's just a guess on my part and I assume no responsility! I think I should add that to my sig line for all my posts.
ezroller
Thanks for the input ya'll I think the problem is actually deeper and darker. I'm running MDK 9.0 here at work as well as at home, and here at work, after I deleted the icon, it has never come back. maybe it could be that at home i have supermount enabled and here at work I have it disabled. hmmm....I just realized that now. I'll post back after i disable supermount at home.
qeldroma
There's a file called "kdesktop". This is a script, started every login in kde. There you'll find a section for htat, which can be commented out.
