epretorious Posted May 25, 2008 Share Posted May 25, 2008 Where'd the libstdc++2.10 package go? (AOL Instant Messenger depends upon it.) According to RPMpbone.net, libstdc++2.10 is part of the System/Libraries but urpmi doesn't seem to know anything about it: [epretorious@localhost Download]$ urpmq libstdc++ No package named libstdc++ The following packages contain libstdc++: libstdc++-devel libstdc++-static-devel libstdc++5 libstdc++6 FWIW: I'm using the local installation media... Mandriva\ Linux\ -\ 2008.0\ (Powerpack)\ -\ Installer file:///var/ftp/pub/Mandrivalinux/media/main { key-ids: 70771ff3 media_info_dir: media_info } Mandriva\ Linux\ -\ 2008.0\ (Powerpack)\ -\ Installer\ (contrib) file:///var/ftp/pub/Mandrivalinux/media/contrib { key-ids: 78d019f5 media_info_dir: media_info } Mandriva\ Linux\ -\ 2008.0\ (Powerpack)\ -\ Installer\ (non-free) file:///var/ftp/pub/Mandrivalinux/media/non-free { key-ids: 70771ff3 media_info_dir: media_info } Mandriva\ Linux\ -\ 2008.0\ (Powerpack)\ -\ Installer\ (restricted) file:///var/ftp/pub/Mandrivalinux/media/restricted { key-ids: 70771ff3 media_info_dir: media_info } See my December 2006 posting "AOL Instant Messenger" for more information about installing AOL Instant Messenger. dexter11 Posted May 25, 2008 Share Posted May 25, 2008 FWIW: I'm using the local installation media...That's the problem. Use online sources too. There are way more packages in the ftp mirrors than in the installation media(s). Click on the easyurpmi link on the top of this page and follow instructions.
