USB multi-card reader - how do I mount it?

Have an Asus multicard reader (CF,smartmedia,memory stick) - is it possible to use it in Mandrake 9.1?

Have looked at linux-usb.org but it is a bit beyond me.Here is the info:

I would search google a bit if I would be you.

 

Post ALL 'cat /pros/bus/usb/devices' here (when the device is in of couse)

 

Also, unplug the device for about 5 seconds and then plug it back in. Now type 'dmesg' and look at the end. You should see something about your device. Is it recognized?

also I now have a device called removable in mnt/dev after booting with the CF card in - cannot see its contents though.

Mine just mounts as sda1 (unless thats already taken)...

The cards are usually FAT12 but Ive never had to supply the mount options. (automagic)

 

hence my mount command is just:

 

mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/removable -o rw

 

just to be simple about it....
