3lade
I made an interesting discovery earlier, (it might not be groundbreaking but it made my day) I managed to link KMail into works Exchange5.5 server. I set up a imap mailbox and put in the IP address of the server and hey presto I get my internal mails. But the problems is all the headers/senders details are for the M$ machine "someone@domain.company.com" and I can't send or reply to them as I only have a smtp outbox setup. Has anyone got any ideas? I know evolution has a plugin for Exchange but it is Exchange2000 and costs money, company wont spend money on my little 'underground' Linux project. Guest komox
number of ways: 1. setup kmail with work email address, use authentication for pop and smtp 2. or setup email alias on exchange box. 3. or setup postfix on home machine and pull mail from exchange setup mx record using ods.org (for postfix) exchange will then send mail to yourname.ods.org,you use kmail with yourname.ods.org (youremail@yourname.ods.org) I can think of more but that should get you going..
