Installing Picasa [solved]

Hi everyone,

I'd like to install Google Picasa. In 2007.0 and 2007.1 I installed it directly from a link in the Applications bar, and the files were in the repos. I can't find it now. I know it is available on Google's site, but I prefer to install it from the repos. Does anyone know where did the files go?

I'm pretty sure Picasa has never been in the official Mandriva repos - it is after all closed source and non-free. It's basically a windows binary wrapped inside a version of Wine.

What you can do is add Google's own file system to your repository list - see here: http://www.google.com/linuxrepositories/mandriva071.html - the instructions are for 2007.1 but should still work I guess. The "Add custom" function is now in the Options menu though.
