yossarian
Hi everyone, I'd like to install Google Picasa. In 2007.0 and 2007.1 I installed it directly from a link in the Applications bar, and the files were in the repos. I can't find it now. I know it is available on Google's site, but I prefer to install it from the repos. Does anyone know where did the files go? Edited April 20, 2008 by yossarian
neddie
I'm pretty sure Picasa has never been in the official Mandriva repos - it is after all closed source and non-free. It's basically a windows binary wrapped inside a version of Wine. What you can do is add Google's own file system to your repository list - see here: http://www.google.com/linuxrepositories/mandriva071.html - the instructions are for 2007.1 but should still work I guess. The "Add custom" function is now in the Options menu though.
yossarian
OK, thanks. I guess my memory is not what it used to be.
