Could you please tell us which version of Mandriva you are using and what kind of network-setup you use?

Could it be perhaps some sort of confusion between internet adresses and disk adresses (eg: /usr/share)?

Well this was just "food for thought", as the saying goes… Actually, I don't really understand what your problem is.

Could you post a screenshot?

Thanks for the screenshot :) My first idea was false after all. This is purely a problem on the server, not with your PC.

YinYeti is right, that's an error coming back from the server - in this case Myspace. Myspace is notorious for having problems with their server. There is nothing you can change on your PC that would resolve this, as your PC isn't the problem.

nope. thats how it seems, so I dont blame either of you saying that, but it happens on every website almost every hour, an takes about 10min for it to be fixed, and this only happens on mandriva, never on xp. an well it is happening to me, I have other check the exact link, an they work fine.

Please check the "Tips&Tricks" section of this board on disabling IPV6. It might be able that the your system has problems with the IPV6 protocol or that your used DNS-Servers are error-prone.
