iphitus
Is there anything i can use to save my documents in KWord in M$'s Word DOC format? I need to do this as i need to share documents with those who have not seen the light. I can open Word documents in KWord but can't save, i looked in the dropdown box on the Save dialog, no M$ word option. I can't use RTF or any other formats, needs to be Word. What can i do? IS there anything i can use? Thanks James

VeeDubb
Of course, Open Office, should have been installed when you installed mandrake.
SoulSe
I agree. Drop KWord (and KDE if I was you) and try Open Office or SOT Office.
DragonMage
Simpler word document can be opened by kword, don't expect 100% conversion. Anything different (such as tables, embedded pictures, etc) and kword cannot open it. I third the recommendation to use openoffice instead. mtweidmann
KWord is quite good for just previewing documents.
