tyme
Slashdot post: http://slashdot.org/articles/03/06/03/0237...?tid=103&tid=99 Govt. memo: http://www.egovos.org/pdf/OSSinDoD.pdf Further information that I can legally tell you: There is work being done on standards for Linux to be used in production (read: not testing). That is, within the U.S. Government. It's further along than it was, but it's hard to change the minds of the higher-ups. I'd tell you more but I can't :|
DragonMage
Why can't you? Because you signed an NDA or something with the government or you just don't have the information?
Ronin
Why can't you? Because you signed an NDA or something with the government or you just don't have the information? Cause if he did they'd have to kil him? It is government after all and we do like to work that way. Umm I mean they do like to work that way. Ya, that's better. tyme
Because I have an internship with the government, which requires a certain level of security clearance, so there are certain details I can't share. I'm not sure exactly what the rest of the stuff I know is classified as, but it's probably "SNTN" (Sufficient Need To Know). So, to keep myself out of trouble.... maybe Red Hat can tell you more
