i have compiled it now and have it installed. but it dies on me whenever i try to edit one of the account properties. it gives out an error stating that guile died (something about process 1640) due to a segmentation fault. if i remember correctly this is the error that i encounter in the stock mkd9.1 gnucash.

ill try to file a report on the bugzilla but my password is taking its time to arrive in my mailbox.

anybody using bamboo that have used gnucash without any errors?

ciao!

Did you get this working?

I use 1.8.1 on ML 9.1 without problems. I'd like to upgrade to 1.8.4 but after reading this thread it sounds like a PIA!

The GnuCash people would like a ML rpm maintainer and it

sounded tempting. I'm not so sure now :?

come to think of it i got it to compile but it also exhibited the same problems as i have on 1.8.1 (must have something to do with my locale settings). but then i reinstalled mandrake to clean up/organize my partitions and now i cant figure out how the hell i got all dependencies working. i have all the required rpms but i keep mismatching which one i need from cooker and which from the standard iso. now i cant remove ORBit without bringing down a slew of packages.

when i have time ill tackle this one again as this is no longer a need nor a want but a blow in my ego.

ciao!
