Michel Posted May 29, 2003 Report Share Posted May 29, 2003 There are possibly sopem apps running that use your sound driver and haven't released it yet for use by other applications...If you use kde, you simple press "Ctrl+Esc" and it shows all processes/apps that are running...see if there are any apps you know off that uses sound......maybe a cd-player, another game,....and kill them...(watch out to not kill kde...all critical processes can only be killed as root, but if you kill kde..you log out:)).
