Hello!

I have installed Mandriva on a partition. Before the installation the partoition had ubunutu.

Mandriva is installed on the D drive and on the C drive I have windows me.

After the installation Mandriva asked for root password. I typed in a password.

I also typed in username password an real name in the admin.

I have been very careful and checked that I have wrtotten it right.

But I can´t get into Mandriva.

I tried to reinstall Mandriva ( using the alternative existing partition.)

And the same problems came up.

I have GRUB boot and I have installed from a live cd 2008.

Can anyone please help me?

I´m totally new to linux and Mandriva so I don´t know much.

Did you install at a laptop?

If so, then get sure the numlock is not activated when you type your password.

No at a stationary pc.

I have tried to install a 3thrd time but the same happends and I have looked very carefully for num lock and caps lock and typed the pasword slowly and carefully.
