fahd
I have updated my mdk 9.1 from within mcc rpm packages update. Unfortunately, after rebooting my system I could not start my window manager due to a lot of missing or overwritten lib files. I was a big fault that I used Mandrake Control Center to update my packages from a mirror ftp server. I often used rpm -Fvh *rpm to just updates those packages I have already installed on my system, and I did not experienced any problem or system CRASH. Please help, cause I don't like to reinstall my mdk 9.1 like Microsoft products. THANK YOU.
aru
which libs are broken? maybe you can just solve your problem by restoring a single original package
Guest anon
You could try booting from linux nonfb or press the ESC key at the lilo menu and typing linux 3 See if you can look out for error messages when its booting, or you call your window manager.
