Hello all

finally got 9.1 installed and in the process of setting up my hard ware i notced that my usb webcam(creative webcam 3 with ov511 chip) was not being recognized or even powering up. I know that the cam works with slack 8.1 and kernel 2.4.19 but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get it recognized with mdk. I have enabled it in the kernel. I am at a loss any one know anything els I can do?

I was accessing it with camorama and gnomemeeting. it was recognized as a ov11 usb cam thru /dev/video0

it's not important that I use this just wondered why it would not work with mandrake when it worked with slack out of the box.

I have googled this problem and cannot find any thing as to why it's not working. I compiled usb-uhci into the kernel and insmoded the ov511 driver. I have a usb printer which was recognized immediately which rules out the usb hub on the mobo. I guess it is just an incompatibility issue with mandrake.
