Guest sxxl
Hi everyone, I've installed Mandrake 9 on my Computer. I've to route between an ADSL-Connection and the local network. The problem: I havn't enough free PCI-slots for a second network card. With the Mandrake-controll-center ist isn't possible to configure this. Any ideas, how and where I could get running this? DragonMage
Well, as far as I know I can only suggest two things. 1. Buy a USB to Ethernet adaptor. Some of the models are supported in linux (Check http://www.qbik.ch/usb/devices/showdevcat.php?id=16) to see the models supported. It maybe a bit more expensive than a typical pci network card, but hey... if it works. 2. There is a way for a single NIC card to have two IP address, but I am not sure how.. It probably involve recompiling the kernel and such. Even it works, how do you going to route the ADSL connection to your network considering the cabling involved?.
