(of course any body that feels like helping ... cool 8) ) I have in /etc/exports on one machine (trinity) # /etc/exports: NFS file systems being exported. See exports(5). /usr/portage/distfiles *(ro,sync) yeah I know ... no security at all but who cares its my own lan. now from another computer (dozer) mount -t nfs -o ro,rsize=1024,wsize=1024 trinity:/usr/portage/distfiles /mnt/tmp on trinity (the server) I can watch the logs May 5 17:56:24 trinity rpc.mountd: authenticated mount request from dozer.loudas.com:894 for /usr/portage/distfiles (/usr/portage/distfiles) but on dozer (the client) it just hangs and never mounts .... and I can't kill the process  what am I doing wrong .... I've read thru a HOWTO, and man'ed everything, but I still can't get it.
