Guest Markenzwieback
Well, I just installed Mandrake, but moving my mouse freezes the XServer (Maybe the whole system, not sure). I had the same problem with Debian, to solve it I had to remove the APM Module. My system: Athlon XP, Nforce 1, Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical USB . Does anybody know a better solution than removing APM? (witch disables auto-shut-down). Or how to remove the module? With Debian I used to use "modconf", which does not work with Mandrake... at least, not for me :?

Germ
I remember with MDK 8.2 you had to edit /etc/modules.conf and add this line: alias mouse usbmouse
bvc
modprobe -r <name> removes modules. See man modprobe or modprobe --help. Also, post the InputDevice Section/s of your /etc/X11/XF86Config-
