I hope you're not disappointed, but I prefer the old LE2005 pack. I've just never liked 'flares' in images. Thanks again!

The xdg-menu they have went to in LE 2005 is still a bit iffy. I fixed mine by deleting ~.local and ~.menu then logout/login. That seems to be the fix that works for most people.

Welcome to the Forum. Silly question...is kdebase-kdm installed? Your edit of /etc/sysconfig/desktop should be DISPLAYMANAGER=KDM, not "kde".

Hi Kegwen. Welcome to the forum. 2.6.8.1-12mdk is the kernel source package you have installed. If you have installed the latest kernel from the Updates, I believe it is 2.6.8.1-24mdk. Your running kernel and the kernel source package must match version numbers.
