Filip K.
Hi. let me start with my "CANYON CN-WCAM21 PC-Camera" problem. There are also others maybe or maybe not related. More about them later. That camera already worked in Mandriva ( 2007 or 2007.1), after fresh install of Mandriva 2008 I can't make it work. I guess the root of the problem is that modul is not properly loaded. I will be glad of any tips about it. Mandriva Control Center shows in Category: Uknown/Others Identification Vendor: ‎Pixart Imaging Inc. X.org nv works, but nvidia can't load. Don't know why. During shutdown it says it cannot stop fuse deamon. Not sure if running but I do have one NTFS currently. I did try to uninstall and install related "dkms latest" packages, but no success. Thanks, Filip.
adamw
Try 'modprobe -f gspca'.
Filip K.
Thanks Adam. Forcing modprobe load those two modules :D . In those two cases I suppose this is not danger, is it? It seems that WebCam and nvidia driver works. How do I make it permanent?
ianw1974
You can add it to /etc/rc.local like this: modprobe -f gspca
Filip K.
Thanks, Ian. DKMS modules problems solved. :D Is the reason for this "version incompatibility" in DKMS package(s) build options (kernel version) in this situation?
