Guest AndrewS
Under mandrake 9.0 I was able to get my seagate drive to use udma mode 5. After upgradeing to 9.1 hdparm will not allow anything above udma2. This is on an abit nv-133r nforce board with seagate barracuda V harddrive. Does anyone have a fix for this? Thanks Andrew :? Guest anon
Use the search tool above to look for hdparm, it should help. here's one link. http://www.mandrakeusers.org/viewtopic.php...p?p=16700#16700
DragonMage
Add these parameters in the append section of /etc/lilo.conf ide0=ata66 ide1=ata66 save, then run /sbin/lilo, then reboot. Your hdparm should be able to reach udma 100 afterward.
