sermat
Hi to all: Is it me, or other people encountered similar problem: I CAN transfer small files to my home server just fine (using smb4k). But doing same with a dvd iso file (i.e. a large file) FAILS. I'm on Mandriva 2007.1. Just to note (and this is not a plug for sidux at all - I still love Mandriva) I tried the same with SIDUX and it worked fine.
jaraeez
I've had similar problems on other Mandriva versions. Do you use wireless on your Mandriva 2007.1? I came to the conclusion for my problem that it was the windows .inf file I use along with Ndiswrapper. Anyway for me I now use WinSCP on the windows PC & this way if there is a disconnection you can resume instead of trying to copy all over again HTH
mmodem
If your transfering files between 2 linux machines than i advise you to use nfs. When using samba i also had the same problems...
sermat
No, I'm not using wireless. Also to note that my home server is not Windows, but Mandriva 2006.
sermat
OK, after googling for a bit, the suggested solution seems to be to pass the "lfs" option to the smbmount command.
