phunni
I always get links opening in mozilla - but I want them in galeon. I have changed default browser in both gnome control centre and KDE control centre, but nothing makes any difference - any suggestions? phunni
Did a search - nothing useful. there was another thread, but they jsut said to play with the settings in the control centres - which I have done, but no difference
tyme
ok, wasn't sure what the result of that other thread was. anyone have a clue?
DragonMage
I remembered accidentally having galeon as default browser whenever I click on a link in evolution (even though I don't want to). I think what I did is to run galeon for the first time in gnome and choose use galeon as default browser or something like that. In order to change them back to mozilla, I have to delete my .galeon and my .gnome* directories. Anyway.. maybe it's not much help... but I hope it gives you something to try. phunni
ok, wasn't sure what the result of that other thread was. anyone have a clue? The result was about changin settings in the control centres - as I said that didn't work for me. It might be worth trying to delete .gnome or something like that and trying to do something different
phunni
Figured it out: Open ~/.gnome/Gnome and change the line that says default-show to equal whatever browser you want to use Make sure you preserve the "%s" at the end of the line Now to just figureout how to set the default mailer... :D
