Where did the snapshot go? [solved]

I've updated my Mandriva and a few programs have disappeared. At this point I discovered that snapshot is missing. Can you please tell me if there is a way to install it again?

You mean "ksnapshot" or something different?

I do not remember the spelling of its name. But it was part of Multimedia->Graphic, and enabled you to make an image of the entire screen. :P

Well, seeing as scarecrow was kind enough to tell you the name of the app, what you could do, is google for this name, and find the Wikipedia page or the Ksnapshot handbook.

 

Then if that is what you're thinking of, you can look in the main repository and see a package there called kdegraphics-ksnapshot-3.5.6-1mdv2007.1.i586.rpm, which I'm guessing is what you want. Assuming you're using 2007.1 and KDE, of course ;)

 

Or you can use the Gimp to make screenshots too.

Well usually you hit printscreen and ksnapshot will popup with the pic you just took of screen and some options.

Thank you guys. I became a kind of a purist, and this time around didn't install KDE. As soon as I saw the "Kname", I knew what the problem was. I installed the missing program from the DVD.
