zibi1981
I got 3.5.4. How to check them both?
spinynorman
If they've changed the options, you'll have to choose between Automatic and Dropdown... If you have Automatic, you should still be able to click on the down arrow at the end of the dropdown box to select from your history. zibi1981
Yes, I can select URLs from my history. But that doesn't solve the problem. Or maybe it can't be solved... What about blocking Flash-advertisements? They're really making me Edited March 24, 2007 by zibi1981
spinynorman
I've now installed Mandriva 2007 with Konqueror 3.5.4. If I right click on the Location bar and select Text Completion, I can change the default setting of Dropdown List to Dropdown List & Automatic...
zibi1981
You're right, it was my mistake. I thought I would have to select those options separately, cause I didn't notice that there is a combined option below... Nonetheless still when I type an address without http:// in the location bar and press [Enter], I get directed to Google. Of course I can select one of the choices from a dropdwon list, but that's not the point.
zibi1981
My problem has been resolved by Konqueror 3.5.6 :D I now have Mandriva 2007.1, and it works great. So if any would have similar issues with Konqueror web browser, try upgrating to 3.5.6.
scarecrow
It was working fine for me since 3.3.2, at least. I think there's nothing wrong with some Konqueror version, just the usual PEBKAC issues. Personally I have mistakenly screwed quite a few other software settings, and then blamed the software for my imbecility.
