USRobotics VoIP Internet Mini Phone

Recommended Posts

Hi all!

I've installed Skype on my Mandriva 2007 and I would use my VoIP phone. This phone of course hasn't a Linux driver, so i would know if someone has an idea to make it working.

Some googling basically indicates that you won't be able to use this phone. Without a driver, the only way to get it to work would be to write one.

Hi, now the problem is: who can write a driver? I have no idea how to make it...

lots of people can make one - anyone with kernel programming knowledge and the specs for the device, probably. i'm not sure anyone here can, but...someone out there can.

You could always try convincing US Robotics to do it, but I don't think you'll have much luck there.

Do you know someone can do this?

My answer was meant to read as "No, I do not personally know anyone who can, but here are the necessary skills of someone who would be able to." Sorry if I wasn't clear.
