Hello,

I install Mandriva un my Acer 5100 laptop.

All work. But how i install Athereos WLAN? In hardware manager, it says, i must install firmware or driver.

How i can do it?

Firstly, atheros chipset cards only work in one of two ways. One, is using the madwifi drivers. Second, with ndiswrapper.

I've never managed to get madwifi working, but others have. I've always used ndiswrapper for it. Google for either madwifi or ndiswrapper and see which one is best for you.

Note, you can install ndiswrapper or madwifi without compiling from source with Mandriva, by simply doing:

urpmi ndiswrapper

or:

urpmi madwifi

or by simply doing System/Configuration/Configure Your Computer/Network/Setup New Connection/Wireless and letting it go through from there.
