hirohitosan
Hi there. It seems strange to me but when I'm in Linux the volume on my computer is lower than when I'm in Win. I tried from “Volume Control” “Volume Monitor” but still same. My sound card is Intel Corp.|ICH4 845G/GL Chipset AC'97 Audio Controller and I use the ALSA "snd-intel8x0" driver. Can anyone explain my why? Thanx
emmanuel_uk
Which application are you using? Did you try kmix or aumix to increase the sound level (sometimes there are different channels, you need to increase the master level but also sometimes another slider as well, wav? slider) Also in amarok you also have a sound level control bottom right

In KMix I increase PCM level and now it's fine. BTW I don't know what is PSM :)
emmanuel_uk
pcm that was the one! sorry I cannot explain why the master level is not the only one that needs tweaking. I see it as a series of "filters" you need to enable all of them...
