kjc5664
I have successfully installed my 2007.0 X86_64 powerpack on my AMD Opteron 165 system. Works beautfully. However, I have noticed that the kernel starts using swap space when the the amount of memory in usage approaches 500K. I have 1GB installed. What can I do to enable the usage of the entire 1GB ram. CPU: AMD Opteron 165. MB: BIOSTAR TForce6100-939 Socket 939 NVIDIA GeForce 6100 Memory: 1GB Corsair DDRI Thanks in advance. DarkFoss
Click on kinfocenter and check if the system is seeing all 1 gig of ram. If it's not you can go to the MCC and under the Boot option reconfigure grub in the advanced tab Precise RAM size if needed (amount found) add 1024MB in the space. You could also try the smp kernel or one of obiwan's mm kernels. They work great too.
