coverup
I am not trying to be smart but maybe you should take a look at the computer bookshelf in a local bookstore? Most likely, you will find a book which will instruct you on the step by step process. And of course, google is your friend as well.

alexpank
Also not trying to be smart, but I thought the OP said that he couldn't connect to the internet. Archie, what kind of internet connection is it? (Sorry, this probably exposes my ignorance more than anything...)
ianw1974
First you need to know the type of connection, whether it's PPPOA or PPPOE. Then you can set up your router accordingly. Your ISP should have provided you the details, so I suggest you call them! Once the router is up and running, you can then just connect your computer to the router and use DHCP to pick up an IP address for a traditional network connection. Then you'll have access to the internet.

arctic
Yes, everything can be configured in the Mandriva Control Center (MCC). When setting up the connection from your network card to the router in the MCC, select the LAN connection wizard.
