hirohitosan
Hello there. I just installed Md 2007 and I don't know how to enable Flash and Java plugins for Konqueror. Thanks
4di
you can use firefox 3 from http://www.quickonlinetips.com/archives/20...d-alpha-builds/ this firefox is an alpha build with Flash and Java enabled or you can use something more stable like firefox 2 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ with java and flash enabled . ianw1974
Try going to Settings, Configure Konqueror and then select plugins on the left hand side, and scan for new plugins.
hirohitosan
Try going to Settings, Configure Konqueror and then select plugins on the left hand side, and scan for new plugins. I tried Settings, Configure Konqueror, Plugins Global Settings – Enable plugins globally Netscape Plugins /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox-1.5.0.7/plugins and restart Konqueror, but still not work. At the Plugins tab it shows me that the Flash plugin is loaded but it doesn't display flash animation on the browser. And on the pages with Java it show me just Error: java executable not found I can use Firefox of course but I was curious if Konqueror can display Java and Flash. In the case with Flash../home/michael/.netscape/plugins/ so add this as a directory if you don't have it already $HOME/.netscape/plugins in my case /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox-1.5.0.7/plugins it seems that enable Flash but the browser doesn't show
michaelcole
For the java after the bin put in java .. it is actually looking for the command.. Which site are you going to.. Is it that you cannot see text? I had a bug before due to java not looking for the fonts it just expected that they are in the old location.. For the java after the bin put in java .. it is actually looking for the command.. Which site are you going to.. Is it that you cannot see text? I had a bug before due to java not looking for the fonts it just expected that they are in the old location.. found the entry for the FLASH under tips and tricks.. The flash does not check its directories for X11 and the have moved cd /usr/X11R6/lib/X11 ln -s ../../../../etc/X11/fs if you dont have a fonts directory there either do this ln -s ../../../../etc/X11/fonts

scarecrow
Point it rather to the mozilla plugins directory ( ~%PREFIX/mozilla/lib/plugins ). You can see there that the browser java plugin ( libjavaplugin_oji.so ) is symlinked and NOT copied to that folder- copying will not work! The same directory should also have in libflashplayer.so if flash is properly installed (this one isn't a link) as well as nppdf.so (if Adobe Acrobat Reader is installed), so by pointing there you will enable all plugins in one go. hirohitosan
Point it rather to the mozilla plugins directory ( ~%PREFIX/mozilla/lib/plugins ). I pointed to /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox-1.5.0.7/plugins/ libflashplayer.so* libnullplugin.so* libjavaplugin_oji.so@ libunixprintplugin.so* Mozilla works fine with these plugins but Konqueror seems that doesn't load them
