shengchieh
Usually source code have less problem with dependencies/libraries/etc. Try downloading the source from http://www.jwz.org/xscreensaver/ Sheng-Chieh
ianw1974
You are better off setting up your urpmi repositories for main/contrib/updates/plf-free/plf-nonfree and then you'll get it with a simple: urpmi xscreensaver better than trying to compile and ensure you have everything installed before the compile will work! I have xscreensaver installed, no problems using this method above.
tyme
i cant install xscreensaver... the source was being gay so i downloaded a rpm, then the rpm said:the source was being "'carefree', 'happy', or 'bright and showy'"? i wasn't aware sources could be happy...or that them being happy would cause problems....happy servers are usually good servers! ;)
rajb
kudichodio, i updated the easy urpmi, and i tried urpmi xscreensaver and it said no package named xscreensaver Edited October 20, 2006 by rajb
scarecrow
Seems that "xscreensaver" is just a dummy package which brings all xscreensaver-* packages. But anyway, it *IS* there ( under /media/main/release ), so I guess your urpmi isn't properly configured, or the mirror you have picked is broken.
