Guest Sopwith
My display is an Acer AL1717 and the computer has both Windows XP and Mandriva Linux 2006. The display is offset to the right by about 2.5 inches. I corrected it in Windows by clicking a synchronise button in the Windows main control panel setup ( the effect is too big to correct through the screen setup system) but how do I correct the effect in Linux please. As far as I could see the screen size was OK but one figure was given as 75 Hz but the maker quoted around 60 Hz.
arctic
Use the menu-tools of your Monitor for correcting it. 2,5" should work with its menu.
Guest Sopwith
Thanks arctic. The display corrected itself about a week ago with no input from me and has stayed OK after many weeks of being offset. I still have no idea about the cause or the correction Regards Sopwith
