XFree86 4.3.0 released at last

And mandrake has it in the cooker repositories. I have it installed already as I type this.. So far.. no big whoop.. but I am dying to try on the switching resolution on the fly feature that 4.3 always touted for. Any idea how to do it in KDE 3.1? Or is there any secret way to do it?

Nothing in http://www.xfree86.org/4.3.0/RELNOTES2.html#2 says anything about switching resolution MS$ windows style. For sure, u cannot change color depth. The only other thing left is changing resolution which could be done in a crappy way (by atrl-alt-+/- keys) in previous versions too. The only new thing I see is:

Support for the RandR extension has been partially integrated into the XFree86 server, providing support for resizing the root window at run-time.
