DragonMage
And mandrake has it in the cooker repositories. I have it installed already as I type this.. So far.. no big whoop.. but I am dying to try on the switching resolution on the fly feature that 4.3 always touted for. Any idea how to do it in KDE 3.1? Or is there any secret way to do it? Guest ndeb
Nothing in http://www.xfree86.org/4.3.0/RELNOTES2.html#2 says anything about switching resolution MS$ windows style. For sure, u cannot change color depth. The only other thing left is changing resolution which could be done in a crappy way (by atrl-alt-+/- keys) in previous versions too. The only new thing I see is: Support for the RandR extension has been partially integrated into the XFree86 server, providing support for resizing the root window at run-time. SoulSe
I'm presuming this will be standardly released with 9.1? Anyone know? I still have a Radeon Mobility problem that I have been wrestling with for 5 months now! Hoping the latest XFree will iron it out.
Guest ndeb
It is already part of 9.1rc2. So you can try it out and check if the radeon mobility problems are gone.
