keropi
Why is this? I have a dsl-modem/router, the linux pc can ping the xp-pc, netowrk works fine, the resolv.conf contains only nameserver 192.168.1.1 (modem ip) and Konqueror loads EVERY page no prob... opera and firefox from the powerpack dvd do not load any pages at all... this is a fresh install with no updates whatsoever... any ideas? daniewicz
Try disabling IPv6. To disable IPv6 at OS level in /etc/modprobe.conf add the following line: alias net-pf-10 off To disable IPv6 for firefox. Type about:config in the address bar and make sure network.dns.disableIPv6 is set to true.

ffi
Strange Opera should support ipv6
arctic
Opera might support ipv6, but most popular routers don't support the new protocol yet. They are actually broken (as ipv6 should have been supported by routers since several years now) and that is why you need to use the workaround with disabling ipv6 and adding dns values and such. keropi
on my case, I only needed to disable ipv6, resolv.conf is only one line, the router-ip...
