Josh
So I couldn't figure out my existing modem and how to get it working in Mandriva. . . so I bought a new hardware modem. 1x #NSPIRE 536EP/4743 Nspire Modem Intel chipset V92 Data fax Voice 56K PCI Now, even though its says supports Mandrake 9.2, I can't seem to find a driver for it, nor do I know how to install. Anyone?
theYinYeti
See if that helps: https://mandrivausers.org/index.php?s=&show...ndpost&p=204253 For the "init" string, first try with just "ATZ". Josh
I still don't understand where I find a driver for this modem that is supposedly "Mandrake" certified? Anyone have this modem? I am a complete noob so I am not even sure if I know how to load the driver/module when I find it.
bvc
if it's truly serial, the driver is already there, in the kernel. You should only have to point the connect app to the right ttySX (X=number) to find the modem
