bigjohn
Been running the updates fine since I managed to get KDE 3.5.2 installed. Yet I now seem to have a dependency problem - "It's" telling me that libdns_sd.so is needed by the current (installed) kdebase-probs-3.5.2-2.mdk2006.0.mde.i586 rpmfind seems to think that it's in libmDNSResponder1-devel-98-4mdk.i586 but when I downloaded that, it just told me that it's already installed. Maybe someone can advise me how I get this sorted out - It's a bit over my head. Many thanks in advance. regards John
Ixthusdan
Well, I uninstalled kde and lost all Mandriva tools! X was even borked! From the cli, I had to reinstall the tools, and then I began reinstalling all kde-3.5.2. So, I would recommend going into another desktop and forcing a base instll; then install the other packages. Perhaps a force would not cause the major issues I had to deal with.
