Guest Greyice
I have a new Flash Media drive which connects via an external/internal USB2.0 port. It works well under winblows but I'd like to know has anyone used a device like this before under linux? Where would it mount newly found media? Is there a particular RPM or service I need to install? TIA... REF: http://www.skymaster.com.tw/products/book/drv-0631.htm
MottS
I have an mp3 player which uses flash memory. This took me a while to understand how to make it work under linux but now it is. First of all you have to check if your usb controller is recognised by linux and if it loaded the appropriate driver. You also have to check if your device is seen by Linux. Check it by typing cat /proc/bus/usb/device If you see something then it's good. Post the output here. Post also the output of 'lsmod'. I think you have to be root to have the 'lsmod' command...
