tyme Posted March 15, 2006 Report Share Posted March 15, 2006 does it output any errors? have you noticed any problems? it's possible that HAL gets stopped before the shutdown script tries to stop it, and that's why you're getting an error. And in drakconf in Services section i cant restart hal daemon.It cannot stop but it start again. Stopping HAL daemon: [FAILED] Starting HAL daemon: [ OK ] Edit: Did the hal daemon is necessary? scarecrow Posted March 15, 2006 Report Share Posted March 15, 2006 (edited) hal won't run if dbus is not running, and more than that it's comprehensive that dbus should be started at system startup before hal.
