mcc [solved]

As shown with commands:

[ian@europa ~]$ whereis mcc
mcc: /usr/bin/mcc /usr/sbin/mcc /etc/mcc.conf /usr/share/mcc
[ian@europa ~]$ rpm -qf /usr/bin/mcc
drakconf-10.3-5mdk

hope that helps. The qf command when using rpm allows you to find the package name that a file belongs to. If you want to find out about another package, you can use this and substitute /usr/bin/mcc with another packagename for example. First find it, using whereis as in my example above, and then working from there.

Please be aware that if you update drakconf from Cooker that you may lose MCC entirely or it may be unusable to try installing or uninstalling software so you will be forced to uninstall it via the CLI (command line) and then reinstall it from the cdrom.

Cheers. John.
