kwlam
I am using mandriva 2005 LE. I have installed the usbview as I want to use it for usb drive. But I don't know how to use it. Can anybody tell me its functions?
aioshin
If you'd configured desktop behavior to display mounted storage device like usb drive, and hotplug runs as a service, then you really dont need usbview (though have'nt tried that yet) coz it will display the drive on your desktop and its ready to be browse via your filebrowser. ianw1974
From what I remember, usbview is only for troubleshooting issues, rather than actually access to the drive. You can normally get to your USB drive through the Devices icon on the desktop in Mandriva 2006. Previous releases would normally display an icon on the desktop to give you access, or can be obtained through /mnt directory.
scarecrow
You may call me a fool, but up to one week ago I had no idea what "usbview" is- and I've been using Linux since 1997! :D
