Guest genetix
I'm running Mandrake 9, it detected my zip drive fine and even supermounts it. However, after 3.5 minutes it seems to unmount it even if i'm accessing it at the time. I cannot remount it without ejecting the disk and putting it back in. So is there a way to fix this or are zip disks and supermount just not meant for each other?
DOlson
Supermount is not meant for anyone. supermount -i disable The day Mandrake gets it right, I think it is gonna be great.
DragonMage
Well, I think supermount is great for read only media such as CDRom and CDRW, but not for floppy style media such as zip and floppies. I think you can edit your fstab just so that supermount is not used for the floppies and zip. Compare the /etc/fstab before and after you have disable supermount by typing supermount -i disable and supermount -i enable, then edit it appropriately. Guest niktarin
well supermount isn't good for any media, Does the same thing to me with my cdroms. It would be nice if mandrake wrote somewhere the known issues. So that some people don't spend days looking what is wrong.
