Webmin Password Fails

I have started Webmin from root. I get the log-in asking for user name and password, so I use my user account user name and root password which is not accepted. Then I try a couple of passwords that I have set for Mandriva login and for securioty administration. Nothing works. How do I change the password or set the password to get into Webmin?

You should used the word "root" and the root password, not the users account user name

Now that you're in, you can add users to webmin, and then give them access to certain items, and restrict what they can/cannot do.

 

Using root all the time is OK, if it's only you who would be using it, but probably best practice is specific usernames.
