Chyrania
I apologise for being uber green - only been using linux for a week. Anyway, i'm seeing this problem when I try to install klam: Configuration summary ======================= module events = ON_OPEN ON_CLOSE ON_EXEC devfs support = no rsbac support = yes stacking support = yes local __d_path() = yes module debug = no library 1.x compatibility = yes Note: For RSBAC you should copy the contents of this directory to: /lib/modules/2.6.12-12mdk/build/rsbac/adf/daz and recompile the kernel. Also make sure that the DAZ module has been enabled in the kernel configuration. ***** Running make... * make: *** No targets. Stop. ***** Return value 2 Any advice will be gratefully recieved. scarecrow
Sorry for my ignorance, but what is klam? You possibly mean clamav or klamav? (as I see it needs a dazuko module being present). Edited November 29, 2005 by scarecrow
Chyrania
Sorry , I meant KlamAV. You're right about Dazuko. Unfortunately, I get the same problem when I try to 'make' Dazuko.
scarecrow
There is no need to compile clamav / klamav from source. Just set your urpmi repositories correctly first: easyurpmi.zarb.org Both are made for 2006, and present at the /contrib official repository. You just have to run (in a root console, after setting urpmi repos and updating them all): urpmi klamav If you feel more secure seeing an antivirus icon on the tray then fine, but IMHO Linux definitely does not need an antivirus utility yet, unless you run a fileserver at a LAN with windows workstations present.
