scarecrow
Thanx, downloaded the file. I cannot start the installer typing the command you specified. The file downloaded is called apollon-installer-0.8.1.run When I type that starting with ./ I get "Permission denied" even as root - why? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Because (almost for sure) the file does not have an executable flag. Mark it as executable and only then do "./apollon*.run"

I think I've seen Apollo at an unofficial mandy repo, but not sure which one...

If it is installed in a non-standard * *** location, please supply --with-ltdl=DIR on the configure command line, * *** where `DIR' is the prefix where ltdl is installed (such as /usr, * *** /usr/local, or /usr/pkg). If that doesn't work, check config.log. * ***** Return value 1 Does anyone know what ltdl is? and How I can move on from the above? Above is from the install log file. thanx in advance
scarecrow
The error message is out of the Gift core, which requires libtool to compile. Libtool has been removed from most modern distros, due to problems caused by the .la files it created. Nevertheless, if you don't mind using it then it's just an urpmi libtool away...
