Guest trendata2000
I accidentally ordered Discovery 2006 in French (French is default if you don't check English) and contact with the Mandriva store customer service is near impossible. So can I use the French version and install it as English and get the correct onscreen and Man language? The paper manuals are in French but they are available online in English. This seems workable but my only alternative is to return it and get the correct language - a lengthy, expensive and laborious task.
Ixthusdan
I don't see why that would not work. As far as I know, the only differences in language is the printed material; the distro should bethe same.
bergamote
Right. During the install you get to choose a language from an incredibly wide range of languages.
aRTee
Basically, there are no language versions in Linux - this is typical for proprietary systems (MSWin, MacOS - the latter I'm projecting, have no experience), with Linux all is included.
