2005 strange gtk behaviour

I experiencing some strange gtk behavior, i tried setting gtk themes and so on but nothing seem to help.

Check the attachment, it does not stick to xmms but also game installers and some other programs.post-12797-1127923184_thumb.jpg

I've found that gtk apps take their settings from gnome. You can install gnome-control-center, and then run gnome-font-config to configure the sizes of the fonts you want (even if you're not running gnome, trust me :P ).

 

Then, if using KDE, in your home directory ~/.kde/Autostart create a symlink to gnome-settings-daemon and the fonts will get their settings each time you reboot/start the system.

This is only true if you don't use the QT-GTK engine of course.

yeah i added gnome settings and all, the weird thing is i installed lots of fonts but they don't appear in the font list of xmms or any other gtk app. and i have gtk-qt isntalled also tried setting gtk to use kde settings in the kde configuration.
