mutazoid
While booting I got this error. "Mouting Local File System Failed" I have been using Mandrake for 2 weeks off of an external hard disk when this happened? Do I need to reinstall Mandrake from scratch or is there a way to retain my setup? Thank :( [moved from Installing Mandriva by spinynorman]
Leo
what has changed in your system between you last booting correctly and this error message occuring? Leo
Cannonfodder
You may also want to boot in rescue mode and see if you can mount the drive. Since you are booting off a CD Image it eliminates the possibility that your installation is corrupted.
coverup
I had this message every time I was booting with the CD tray empty. Try putting a data CD in the drive, and reboot. Do you actually have any trouble with harddrive subsystems?
