While booting I got this error.
"Mouting Local File System Failed"
I have been using Mandrake for 2 weeks off of an external hard disk when this happened?
Do I need to reinstall Mandrake from scratch or is there a way to retain my setup?
Thank :(

I have linux on a USB drive.
My main drive is unreliable due to the a manufacture defect in my notebook.
(Which I will get fixed soon)
I use GRUB as my boot manager.
On my main disk is used as a windows xp system.
The question is if I format my hard disk will this boot manager be wiped out?
If so, is there an easy way to install a boot manager without affecting my existing Linux system?
Im willing to change boot manager if necessary ;)
Thanks
Keith

Also, I have the drivers but just dll's bundles together where do I put them?

How can I allow writing to a hard disk partition?
I can see the partition but I dont have write access.
How can I setup the partition to write all the time, even after a reset.
Thanks,
Keith
