It probably means the defaults don't work. Click in the Mandriva Control Center, hardware, tv card on configure and put in the settings for your card (ie. tuner number etcetc). Use google or the documentation that came with your card to find the correct settings.

 

PS an other TV program is xawtv. It get's installed automatically if you have a tv card in your pc.

Saa7130/34-based capture/TV boards are supported by the saa7134 driver. Note that the saa7134 driver also is included in the 2.6.x kernels. So I think you just have to start right modules using Modprobe and start watching the TV.
