Guest Wulfbone
Hi folks! I got a Fujifilm Finepix S 3500 Camera and I don't get it plugged to the Linux. USB View does not find any device plugged to the USB Ports but the Camera tells me that it is plugged into the USB Ports of my PC. I got a ASRock K7S8X Mainboard. Greetings Wulfbone! P.s.: I am a bloody noob! Edited August 27, 2005 by Wulfbone
arshadmomen
What linux software are you using to access the camera? I have a Canon powershot which I access by using gtkam. Is your camera supported by gphoto2? Goodluck, A.
scarecrow
All Finepix series' cameras support the USB Storage protocol, and can be accessed as normal USB pendrives (that means you don't need gtcam to access the photos). Which Linux release/ version you are using? Edited August 27, 2005 by scarecrow
Guest Wulfbone
Which Linux release/ version you are using? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I am using Mandrake 10.0. The program USBView (it's a program to see if and what USB devices are plugged to USB) only tells me that the EHCI Controller is plugged, nothing else even if the camera is plugged to the USB. Edit: Problem solved! I dunno what I did before but suddenly it worked and the thing was registered as new exchangeable harddrive on USB. Before that I got as root with tail command the error SCSImon not found (or something) but now it works perfectly!
