Guest sonicspeedway Posted August 12, 2005 Report Share Posted August 12, 2005 Ok I have Mandrake LE 2005 and I have installed samba and that stuff. What I am doing is i am going to attach a 40gb external hard drive and share it out to everyone and I need the steps to do this the farthest i have gotten is I log into root and open konqueror and go to /mnt and i right click removable which is my external drive and I click share as i have already done the File sharing setup in MCC and when i right click "removable" and click share it says I can only share thing in my home directory. I need to share the whole drive out to everyone without anyone having to type in a user and a password. In other words this is going to be a fileserver and printserver which i already have the print server figured out. Any help appreciated. BTW it is a USB External Drive.
